Specialty & Exotic Coffee PINK BOURBON WASHED

It is a coffee that originates in the southern region of Huila (Pitalito) at 1,650 meters above sea level, cultivated by the expert coffee grower Wilmer Calderón, who has improved his creation over the years to produce coffee within the highest international standards, thus improving his quality of life and that of his community.

Pink Bourbon is a rare and coveted discovery.

A hybrid between Red and Yellow Bourbon. This variety stands out in every way, from the striking pink color of its coffee cherries to the delicious and complex flavor of its beans.
Even under ideal conditions, growing Pink Bourbon is a challenge. The cherries are hand-floated, sorted, and stored in clean sacks to rest overnight. In the morning, the cherries are pulped and fermented for about 48 hours before the beans are washed in parchment and placed in a parabolic dryer. The parchment beans take between 14 and 20 days to dry. Given all these circumstances that must be met, successfully growing Pink Bourbon is quite a feat. But the result is worth the effort, a cup with an elegant, clean, and balanced profile, with floral tones and extremely sweet.

Only experienced Colombian coffee growers carry out these processes in restricted lots to guarantee exceptional quality and freshness.
