In Colombia, 48.13% of the people who work in agriculture are women. Their work is fundamental for the social and economic development of the country, focused on sowing and cultivating agricultural products that contribute to food security.

In short, they are part of the engine, they are the heart of the field and now have a greater participation in the production of coffee.

This role that women adopted was reflected after the implementation of programs that sought the renovation and certification of coffee production. The empowerment of women gained notoriety during the recovery process generated by the crisis that the coffee sector went through during 2009.

This empowerment was materialized in the coffee cards and subsidies that the women obtained in addition to their vote in the elections of the National Federation of Coffee Growers, at the same time education plans were implemented with certifications in the coffee business.

Providing women with education, training, access to resources and financial support not only improved their quality of life and that of their families, but also empowered them to develop their autonomy as rural entrepreneurs, demystifying traditionally held beliefs about gender roles.

Thanks to various public-private programs of financial and educational support and the creation of support networks among women coffee growers, this has fostered and strengthened partnerships that allow for the exchange of knowledge, collaboration on joint projects and emotional support. By joining forces, rural women are demonstrating that they are agents of change and that their union can make a difference in their communities throughout the country.

This not only generates a positive impact at the individual level, but also strengthens the foundations of a more just and prosperous society by promoting gender equality, active participation, economic empowerment of women dedicated to growing and processing coffee, and has created a path towards a more promising future for them and their communities.

THE COURAGE OF POWERFUL WOMEN

the strength of the Colombian rural woman is manifested in her ability to care for her family and provide food for an entire country, her ability to balance responsibilities and persevere in the face of adversity.

In short, the Colombian woman coffee farmer reflects strength because she embodies the very essence of perseverance with determination, her invaluable contribution to society is a testament to her power and worth.

In this long chain of feminine power also participate the women who market, distribute and sell this Exclusive Colombian Signature Blend Coffee. That from now on many women from various cities in the United States will taste and appreciate it because they are the last link for which other women worked hard for them to enjoy it, appreciate it and now all in this powerful cycle are “PARCERAS

Finally, what does the word PARCERA mean?

In Colombia in the eighties in the communes of Medellin, this word was born, which means friend, companion, accomplice, a peer, brother, friend of all; and it comes from the Portuguese “Parceiro”.
